Countdown to Interior Belgium 2012 has begun!

Tonight marks the beginning of the installation of Interiors Belgium 2012, an event which emphasizes really experience. It comes with new formula, new premises, with more 250 exhibitors and many exhibitions. The countdown for this events has begun, but still much work is left to be done before the doors are opened on Saturday, October 20 for all.

Onlookers certainly will not fail to notice that things that are happening on the Grand-Place of Kortrijk. Tonight they will witness there is a chair on the Grand-Place- eight meters high. Lowie Vermeersch, Commissioner INTERIOR 2012 remarks, "On the 23rd Biennale of Interior, we want to focus on the experience. Unusual objects are one thing, but 2012 is going INSIDE further. This is an event that appeals to all the senses. In 1976, there was already a chair Giant of the Grand-Place. We redo this year. A huge chair symbolise renewal and link with many events in the city but a monument that recalls the roots of avant-garde interior Biennale."

In addition to the huge chair, there is an arrival of a long table too. A model of some 30 meters, ideal to accommodate over 100 guests. The table is arriving by river boat to the island of Buda Kortrijk, where hundreds of design enthusiasts are cheering him an enthusiastic welcome. People are curious of this Table now in the exhibition complex and this first furniture marks the kickoff of INTERIORS 2012.
