MATTRESS MAKES A DAY

Humans spend about one-third of their life sleeping. Good sleep is vital for a fresh start to the morning and an active day. The importance of deep and permanent sleep has been an elusive topic of study and its benefits have been confirmed by researchers worldwide. “Quality sleep plays a crucial role in human life and role of mattresses in this regard has been redefined” says Ulrich Leifeld, CEO of Fachverband Matratzen-Industrie e.V., the Association Mattress Industry at the imm cologne.

Mattresses have the task to support the body while it perfectly relaxes during sleep. In the majority of the sleep systems support function works through a combination of mattress and box spring. The box spring is in most cases the base.  These form a resilient surface that adapts to the body parts, without resulting into sagging relieving the spine perfectly.  "More and more people know these beds from hotels and are excited by the comfort, and the optics," adds Leifeld about box spring beds. Box spring beds are in vogue because the pleasantly soft surface.

All good quality mattress types consist of different layers on a supporting core insulation and padding layers are offered with different material combinations. Since almost all mattresses look almost identical externally, it is important to learn something about the meaning and function of the materials used. Mattresses must ensure that no pressure point arises while a body is relaxing on it.

Expert Leifeld suggests that before choosing a mattress one must take time out opt for trial on mattress in their preferred sleeping position.
